Olam Agri launches Seeds for Future Foundation.

The event which took place at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja on 21st October 2022 had in attendance dignitaries including the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Senior Vice President and Country Head, Olam Agri, Ashish Pande, Vice President External Relations & Stakeholder Management Olam Agri, Ade Adefeko, members of various diplomatic corps, and relevant stakeholders from both public and private sectors.

Olam Agri is a leading agribusiness firm focused on high-growth consumption markets which started off in Nigeria, few years ago and had grown to 60 different countries.

With focus on wheat-milling, rice farming and milling, tomato farming, hatchery, soya bean processing, agricultural export—cocoa, beans, cashew nuts and sesame seed, and through its organic growth and over three decades long history and deep roots in Nigeria agri supply value chain, Olam has been able to create a pathway to diversifying Nigeria economy from the much crowded oil sector.

Welcome 2 Africa International, a notable trade and investment facilitation company with focus on Agric and Maritime sectors however identified possible areas of collaboration on some of the agro commodities of interest to Olam Agri as these commodities are the cynosure of its research department focusing mainly on strengthening their value chains through deployment of both local and foreign investors for optimization and improvement till they are able to facilitate export trade.
