Job Title: Marketing and Sales Representative
Location: Wuse II, Abuja
Job Summary
Welcome2Africa International seeks a dynamic and results-driven Marketing and Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English, with fluency in other languages considered a plus. They should possess essential sales skills, including lead generation, conversion, objection handling, and closing techniques, while also focusing on customer acquisition and retention to ensure long-term partnerships with our clients. You will play a key role in driving our business forward by building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders across our focus sectors: agriculture, maritime, energy, and solid minerals.
Key responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Implementation

Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans that advance sales initiatives within the focus sectors.

Align sales activities with organizational goals and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
2. Lead Generation and Conversion
-
Identify, generate, and qualify leads in the agriculture, maritime, energy, and solid minerals sectors.

Convert leads into long-term clients through effective sales strategies and relationship-building techniques.
3. Client Acquisition
-
Reach out to potential clients and stakeholders

Build a strong pipeline of prospects and successfully closing deals.
4. Sales Presentations
-
Present our services effectively, addressing client needs and concerns with confidence and clarity.

Tailor sales pitches to the specific needs of each client.
5. Sales Cycle Management
-
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals

Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction throughout the process.
6. Achieving Sales Targets

Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the company’s growth objectives

Develop and implement strategies to reach individual and team sales goals.
7. CRM Utilization
-
Utilize basic CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track interactions.

Manage client relationships, and monitor sales activities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
8. Customer Retention
-
Focus on customer retention by building strong, long-term relationships and understanding client needs.

Implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction, including regular follow-ups and feedback collection.
9. Collaboration
-
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction.

Provide feedback from clients to help improve service offerings.
10. Market Analysis

Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics, especially within agriculture, maritime, energy, and solid minerals, to better serve our clients.

Provide insights and recommendations based on market research and client interactions.
11. Research and Analysis

Conduct in-depth research and analysis on market trends, investment opportunities, and trade developments to inform strategic decision-making and sales strategies.
12. Communication and Reporting
-
Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management and external stakeholders.

Communicate effectively across various platforms to promote sales initiatives.
13. International Relations Understanding:
-
Have a basic understanding of international relations, particularly as they pertain to trade and investment in the focus sectors.
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or a similar role,
• Language Proficiency: Strong command of English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• CRM Skills: Basic knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, with skills in lead generation, conversion, objection handling, negotiation, and closing deals.
• Customer Retention: Demonstrated ability in customer retention and relationship management.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to strategic planning and implement sales strategies effectively.
