Head of Operations

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Operations 

Location: Wuse II, Abuja

Job Summary

The Head of Operations will oversee the daily operations of W2A, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth operation of the organization, implementing effective systems and processes, and leading operational initiatives that support W2A's mission and growth.

Key responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.

  • Monitor and analyze operational performance, implementing improvements as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with department heads to align operational activities with strategic objectives.

2. Team Management

  • Lead and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, promoting professional development.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to ensure team success.

​3. Project Management

  • Oversee the planning and execution of key projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project objectives are met.

​4. Process Improvement

  • Analyze current processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.

  • Streamline workflows and introduce automation where feasible to enhance efficiency.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new processes, making adjustments as needed.

5. Resource Management

  • Manage budgets, resources, and inventory, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Oversee procurement activities, maintaining strong vendor relationships and negotiating favorable terms.

  • Ensure the maintenance and optimization of operational assets and facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

  • Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.

                 Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

                 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

                 Proficiency in operational software and tools.

                 Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the investment, trade facilitation, or related sectors.

  • Familiarity with the Nigerian business environment and regulatory landscape.

  • Proven ability to manage complex operations and drive continuous improvement
